Meet Dr. Joseph Hicks

Dr. Hicks received his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Dental Science degrees at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Hicks strives to meet and exceed the standards of orthodontics by attending seminars and local study clubs. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society in which he is a member of the executive board.

Dr. Hicks has been practicing in Farragut since 2002 and extended his practice into Lenoir City in 2013. He is an active resident of the Farragut community and enjoys seeing his patients and their EPIC smiles when out and about in Farragut. Dr. Hicks and his wife Kimberly, a pediatrician, are active members, mentors, and leaders at Two Rivers Church. They have 2 sons, Griffin and Braden, whom they are very proud of. Griffin is pursuing a career in physical therapy while living in Colorado and Braden stays busy as a cheerleader for the University of Tennessee.

When he’s not providing smiles for his community, Dr. Hicks enjoys pursuing epic adventures in his personal life. His passion outside of orthodontics is swimming, biking, and running. You can find Dr. Hicks always training for the next race.

Dr. Hicks is a competitive triathlete who enjoys competing in IronMan competitions. These competitions are races made up of consecutive long-distance swimming, cycling, and running. Dr.Hicks has competed in IronMan competitions locally, nationally, and internationally. To date, he has competed in 9 Full IronMan events and 26 Half IronMans. He has qualified and competed in Ironman World Championships in the U.S. and overseas including the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Dr. Hicks has also run in a lot of marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Dr. Hicks has no plans of stopping as he has another full year of racing ahead of him.


Meet Dr. Carli Loss

Dr. Carli Loss received her Bachelor of Science degree at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina, Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and a Master of Science degree and orthodontic certificate at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She is passionate about helping her patients obtain their best smile, through dental health and orthodontics. Dr. Loss is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society.

Dr. Loss and her husband, Justin, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, were married, in May of 2017. They both have a love for being active and spending quality time with family members and dear friends. They are excited to call Knoxville their home and build a community reflecting their passions and favorite pastimes. Including, but certainly not limited to, training for races or triathlons, exploring local businesses, enriching their faith, and discovering the best kept secret locations for a time-lapse of sunrise.
