Your first appointment is going to be easy and painless! In your new patient consultation, you’ll learn about treatment plans, orthodontic options, and cost estimates. You should be comfortable during the entire appointment, with only a brief exam. But, you will have a lot of information to take in.
Your Personal Treatment Plan and Options
We are proud to offer all of the latest technology in orthodontic treatments. There are several types of braces that you can choose from, including traditional braces, clear ceramic braces, and Invisalign®. Each patient is different, so it’s important to have options. At your first appointment, you’ll have a quick exam where your orthodontist will basically just take a look at your mouth and teeth. They will then be able to make the best recommendations for your individual treatment.
Learn how Long Treatment will Take
Treatment time varies greatly from patient to patient. Different factors for each person affect how long you need to wear braces or other orthodontic appliances. It is always our goal to make treatment times for the shortest amount of time possible. With all of the advancements in modern-day orthodontics, we have many options that make treatment times shorter while being just as, if not more, effective than in the past.
Find Out How Often You’ll Come in for Appointments
When discussing your treatment options, your orthodontist will ask about your lifestyle and your availability to come for office visits. Because every patient has varying schedules, your personal availability may play a part in the type of braces that are suggested for you. It’s impossible to give a general answer about how long treatment is or how often you will need to come for appointments without first being seen. But in general, traditional braces patients have to come into the office more often, because the wires on their braces tightened. Invisalign patients usually have fewer office visits because their trays are changed at home rather than in the office.
You’ll Get a Treatment Cost Estimate
The cost of orthodontic treatment or braces is a very common concern for parents and our adult patients. It is our firm belief that everyone should have access to quality and affordable orthodontic care. Just like treatment options and times vary, so do the prices. Cost is determined by your individual treatment plan. At your first appointment, we’ll be able to give you a comprehensive quote before you commit to treatment. And you can trust that we will never have any hidden fees or unexpected pop-up expenses. Our staff is here to help you understand your individual estimate and what your dental insurance will cover.
